Black Hills Chamber Music Society has made the decision to cancel the remaining concerts and community music events for this performing season. This determination was made in order to help prevent illness from the Coronavirus.

In 1964 a small group of Rapid City musicians, dedicated to the idea of creating a chamber music society, designed the structure for what is now known as Black Hills Chamber Music Society. For over 54 years we have been bringing beautiful chamber music to our community through Concerts, Community Outreach and Collaborations.

Stefan Milenkovich is established as one of the foremost violinists of his generation, and is internationally sought after as a soloist and recitalist. Marta Asnavoorian is a Grammy nominated artist. The Elder Musik Project provides 50-60 professionally prepared concerts for several care centers reaching audiences who may have no other opportunity for professional concerts.
CHAMBER MUSIC FOR CHILDREN PROJECT - Cancelled Until Further Notice
The Chamber Music for Children Project provides educational performances of chamber music by four different ensembles in each of the fifth grade classes in the elementary schools in Rapid City, South Dakota, giving approximately 1400 children the opportunity to attend and experience a live chamber music concert.
EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROJECT - Cancelled Until Further Notice
The Educational Outreach Project at the Black Hills Children’s Home provides educational performances by three small ensembles for the children residing in the Black Hills Children’s Home near Keystone, South Dakota.
