WE'RE GLAD YOU STOPPED BY
In 1964 a small group of Rapid City musicians, dedicated to the idea of creating a chamber music society, designed the structure for what is now known as Black Hills Chamber Music Society. For over 54 years we have been bringing beautiful chamber music to our community through Concerts, Community Outreach and Collaborations.
Stop in and take a look around.
We'd love to meet you!
The Elder Musik Project provides 50-60 professionally prepared concerts for several care centers reaching audiences who may have no other opportunity for professional concerts.
The Chamber Music for Children Project provides educational performances of chamber music by four different ensembles in each of the fifth grade classes in the elementary schools in Rapid City, South Dakota, giving approximately 1400 children the opportunity to attend and experience a live chamber music concert.
The Educational Outreach Project at the Black Hills Children’s Home provides educational performances by three small ensembles for the children residing in the Black Hills Children’s Home near Keystone, South Dakota.
