WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

WE'RE GLAD YOU STOPPED BY

In 1964 a small group of Rapid City musicians, dedicated to the idea of creating a chamber music society, designed the structure for what is now known as Black Hills Chamber Music Society. For over 54 years we have been bringing beautiful chamber music to our community through Concerts, Community Outreach and Collaborations.

Stop in and take a look around.

We'd love to meet you!

A devoted friend and contributor to the arts, Vic Weidensee, passed away on July 1, 2018. Read more about him and how his life impacted the Black Hills Chamber Music by clicking here.

Join Michelle Cann Live for a Digital Concert on July 18, 2020

Black Hills Chamber Music has partnered with Cameramusic Chamber Music Society of Detroit to bring you a live virtual performance from one of our favorite artists, Michelle Cann. You can tune in to watch her performance live or you can check back with our website to view her recorded performance to enjoy at a later time.

Her program will include Chopin’s Ballade in A-flat major, the warmest and most lyrical of his four ballades, book-ended by two American works written within a decade of one another, one by a white composer and the other by an African American, but both deeply influenced by African American musical roots. Click here for more information on her concert
